While I hate that it was an awful experience for you, I think you are onto something with the idea of a 'relaxing drink' or 2...
After all, if the doctors are authorised and (god willing) qualified to administer anesthetics, morphine, pethadine and other wonderful psychadelics, surely putting a few mixers into a glass with some alcohol can't be too hard?!
